This tool is indispensable if you want to install fence posts, whether metal or wood, in hard ground conditions such as clay, chalk, or stony areas. When the ground is dry, hard, or contains stones, you can use this tool to remove a 2-inch (50mm) core to almost the total depth leaving about 6 inches (150mm) at the bottom. Then fill the hole with water, and allow it to settle for a few minutes before using a petrol post driver to hammer the post into the ground.
Long Handles
Lengthening the handles by 24 inches (600mm) can assist in driving long posts or can be set up in reverse to help alleviate the need to bend over when driving stakes down to ground level.
Soil Sampling Kit
This kit includes all the necessary tools to obtain a 150cm by 38mm core of soil down to 1.5M deep. When used with the extension bar it can reach a depth of 3M. The kit consists of:
- 2 steel soil sampling tubes
- 1 tube bag
- 1 foot jack
- 1 tough box
- 4 acrylic specimen tubes with caps.
